Pawz N Clawz exists as a place for education, thoughtful guidance, and connection around animal care, without rushing the process or reducing it to a transaction.
Our staff is trained to help you navigate food labels, feeding styles, treats, supplements, and dog wash options with clarity and care.
Our goal is not to diagnose or replace veterinary care. We help bridge the gap between what’s on the label and what you’re seeing at home, with the most natural options.
Our Story
Pawz N Clawz was founded in 2020 by Sandy and her family with a simple but powerful goal: to help dogs and cats live healthier, more comfortable lives through better nutrition and thoughtful care.
In 2025, Pawz N Clawz entered its next chapter under new ownership, and I’m honored to continue what Sandy started.
My background in nutrition began more than 15 years ago in the equine world. What started as a desire to raise a young horse correctly led me down a long path of studying ingredient sourcing, marketing myths, and the impact of nutrition on performance, soundness, and long-term health.
Alongside Pawz N Clawz, I also own Prime Equine, where I work in equine bodywork, postural integration, nutrition, hoof care, and performance conditioning. I compete in mounted shooting and share life with my horses Bear, Cinder, and Twister - so if you ever want to talk horse health, I’m happy to do so too!
My interest in nutrition expanded beyond animals after navigating a major personal health event, deepening my belief that thoughtful, whole-food approaches matter across species.
Becoming the owner of Pawz N Clawz felt like a natural fit - a place where education, curiosity, and care intersect.
While I continue to learn every day, I’m grateful that Sandy remains available with Pet Foodie Tips for deeper, complex consultations, ensuring continuity and experience remain part of the store’s foundation.
